The only time that happens now, in the Western world, is when the heatwave is accompanied by a power failure, as happened in Chicago a few years back.<br /><br />Air conditioning is a godsend that saves and extends lives, especially amongst our weakest members. Heat will kill far more people than nuclear power ever will, barring global thermonuclear war. Only a real global citizen could pretend otherwise.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
